They serve as a platform where companies can post their jobs. I was scammed out of pay by a number of companies, but no one from iSecretShop will assist or intervene. They should be shut down. DO NOT refer them on here!

Comment on User Interviews Review [2024]: $100 an Hour for Your Opinion? As others have pointed out, the when you apply for the studies you are giving them everything they want to know and therefore have no need to hire you. Numerous, extremely detailed questions are a big clue the unpaid “application” is the only transaction you will have with them. I “applied” to several studies and there were so many question it was obvious they had everything they could possible need. Not surprised I have not had any results. The “selfies” studies are obvious scam also. Why do they need twenty selfies of you to see if you are good for their job?

Comment on Turo Review: How Renting Out Our Cars Turned Into a Free Tesla by Jessica https://www.sidehustlenation.com/turo-review/#comment-1287523 Sun, 17 Nov 2024 06:46:34 +0000 https://www.sidehustlenation.com/?p=19293#comment-1287523 Brilliant Concept, But a Nightmare When Things Go Wrong

Turo, your platform is absolutely genius. The ability to rent cars without the hassle of a credit card or the rigidity of traditional rental companies is exactly what so many people need.
If I had known about Turo earlier, I’d have been using it for YEARS.
But here’s the catch: the customer service is beyond frustrating. Recently, I had an issue with a late fee from a host, Manjot, and it’s been a nightmare. She messaged me saying, “Thanks for getting in touch. I will look into this as the car was returned at 2 p.m. and that’s when I did the check-in. I’m not sure why the fee was so high.”
••That was the last I ever heard from her. Since then, I’ve messaged her multiple times, and Turo’s support team has called her on MY BEHALF multiple times–no response.

What’s worse is that Turo’s support initially said they’d escalate the issue if the host didn’t respond. But after confirming the host was ignoring them too, they told me they couldn’t escalate it further and left me completely stuck. So now, I’m out $94 for a fee the host implied she would address, but never did. This isn’t just about the money anymore it’s about the principle. Turo has created an incredible platform, but it completely falls apart when something goes wrong. **Hosts like Manjot are allowed to ignore their responsibilities, leaving customers to shoulder the costs with no real recourse .**
And Turo’s customer service ? = !!
Full of empty promises and ZERO follow-through.
Here’s the thing: if I had any other option in Canada that offered the same flexibility and convenience as Turo, I’d never use this service again.
But I don’t.
Your platform is great, but this experience has made it clear you don’t have your customers’ backs when things go wrong.
Are you forgetting that it’s HAPPY, SATISFIED customers that put the money into YOUR BUSINESS in order to keep it running as smoothly and successfully as it has ?

Let’s take a brief walk down memory lane shall we?
Turo became profitable for the first time in 2022, reporting an annual net income of $154.7 million !!
This marked a significant milestone for the company since it’s founding in 2009.
Despite earlier years of heavy investment and operational losses, Toro’s innovative car sharing model began generating positive returns amid growing demand and market adoption.
And just in case anyone reading this is unfamiliar with the terms “growing demand” and “market adoption” what that means is MORE PAYING CUSTOMERS were using Turo to rent vehicles..
I am currently crossing my fingers, sincerely wishing, hoping and praying that specifically Shelby Clark is reading this right now. If you are I ask that you please view this message as a little wake up call/gentle nudge, and perhaps now would be a good time to conduct a company wide Human Resource Audit (or Comprehensive Workforce Assessment) to be able to see for yourself if YOUR COMPANY that YOU FOUND and have made so successful today, is being ran the way that you intended it to from the get-go.
Please don’t forget that customers like myself and millions of others (approx 2-3 million as of 2024) are almost the whole reason why your business continues to successfully grow.
And if your “associates”, “staff” (or whatever you want to call them) is NOT making your customers feel like they matter, your business will not last I promise you.
And I guarantee that I’m not the only customer who’s experienced similar if not exactly the same issue as what I’m experiencing today.
However the difference is they can’t be bothered to leave such a lonnng comment / review the way that I am right now.
So I’m not only speaking for myself, I’m speaking on behalf of many other customers that just don’t have the time or patience to do this.
Can you try to imagine for one minute what you would do right now if your company went bankrupt and you had nothing left to show for everything that you’ve built after all these years?
Meanwhile all you had to do was check up with your employees to make sure everything is running smoothly and that any issues or disputes between the guests, the hosts and Turo’s Customer Support Team are being addressed diligently with transparency and fairness.
Honestly, I feel as though if I were in your shoes I would be so uncomfortable knowing that the people who are representing the company that I have built and made a name for (literally from the ground up) are not meeting the expectations and needs of paying customers and guests resulting in negative comments and reviews published to the media or even sometimes WARNINGS from former Turo Hosts or Guests advising to “RUN AWAY” from my company — I would personally find whoever is poisoning Turo and fire them on the spot myself !!
Unless you’re one of those people that strictly view the Turo company as dollar signs and could care less about how exactly those dollar signs are brought to you (even at the cost of trust from clientele) — then this entire message would be for absolutely nothing.
There’s a reason why the universe has chosen me to bring this to your attention today, as politely and firmly as I possibly can.

Mr. Clark, fix your broken system. HOLD YOUR HOSTS ACCOUNTABLE, and empower your customer service team to ACTUALLY HELP PEOPLE.
If you don’t, your genius idea will be overshadowed by your failure to support the very people who rely on it so heavily.

Thank you very much if you actually took the time to read this. I look forward to seeing some changes in the future .
Yours truly
